Rebirth

Finished with Theo and Sasha.

Theo: Grew up on an island far from any foreign shores surrounded by a culture steeped in the legend of a serpent god said to have been the god of rebirth. According to legend his people are said to hail the destruction of the world, a fact unknown to him as he sets out to find a new home. He has enough on his mind wondering why he's been sent out in the first place.

Theo's understanding of the world is, of course very limited. He can tolerate the negative aspects of human nature only so long as they aren't persistant. Having been taught that it's never too late to change, he has little patience for excuses, though he usually keeps his thoughts to himself at first. The sword he carries has been assimilated with him so that anyone else trying to pick it up will find it impossibly heavy for its size. His appearance so thoroughly unnerves people that they tend to avoid interacting with him unless they have no choice...or they try to kill him...but only if they're very stupid.

Sasha

She was a slave from the age of thirteen until the age of about twenty when she managed to kill one of her more overbearing captors and was thrown into the sea where a traveler picked her up. She’s very attached to the chains she wore throughout her incarceration which prove to be viable weapons now that she’s free. She never removes them unless she’s completely alone. For her, being seen without her chains is worse than being seen naked. She wears her hair specifically to try to hide the cuts radiating from her eyelid across the left side of her face as they tend to make people uncomfortable.

As much as she enjoys the pleasures of being free again, (and rediscovering a rather significant sweet tooth), she still feels like an outcast among most normal people and she often tries to avoid them even though she loves being around them. Their reactions to her scarred face and torn clothing and her chains are invariably uncomfortable and her companion’s appearance tends to make things worse. -__-
